Volume Control and Balancing Dampers

Balancing dampers are designed to balance airflow in ventilation systems. There are no automatic actuator to open or close the dampers. They are typically operate with a locking handle manually.

This kind of dampers operate opposite each other in single duct to direct airflow. In this way bypass dampers prevent the air to flow undesired areas. Bypass dampers commonly operate automaticly.

ADA-2020-2 Balancing and by-pass dampers are designed to prevent the spread of smoke within dynamic HVAC system during life safety situations.
